Posterino

May 31st, 2009

Arnan bought a bunch of Mac apps in that promotions like 50% off in the whole package of some applications!
Because he didn’t want some of them, he gave me two!
One of those, is Posterino! What can I say about Posterino? Amazing! I stay focused on this like a child with his sweets!
So, I will make here a small explanation what Posterino is about!

You can make those posters with millions of photos to give to some special one :) Or just to print it and stick on the wall of your bedroom to remind those nice days and those nice people that make part of your life;
It has letters, postcards, posters and all in every relevant size I know ;)

It’s all about drag & drop your photos, and you can add a little stamp with the photo you want too!
I’m talking about photos because, I guess it’s what people most use! But remember you can use cute pics to give a special touch to your project!
You can also create text boxes, rotate every single image and every single text, edit with your favorite font, etc!

Aha! A sweet detail! You can create your own stamp! Yes that’s it, you can say it’s Santa’s letters without people knowing it’s you :o mmmm… or the Valentine angel saying to her/him you are the perfect match! Imagination has no limit!

Now is the funniest part! You can send the object you create by mail and save money and time, OR in another hand, you can send it by swiss post (international!) it’s about 2.99 eur or something like that, but doesn’t go with the stamp you created in Preferences menu!
But :( yes there’s always a “but” :( The Swiss Post is discontinuing it’s postcard service for small businesses. Therefore the “real postcard” interface implemented in Posterino will stop working on July 1st, 2009! :( yes…

If you want to use this little feature you must run :) Posterino

Core Image Fun House

November 30th, 2008

:D Now you are thinking, “what the hell is Core Image Fun House?!” :-o

Well, Core Image Fun House I discovered by a case! Dunno why, a picture I wanted to see opened automatically with Photoshop, so I right clicked it to open with Preview. Suddently, appeared “Core Image Fun House”…. mmmm… “let me try” :D
A new world came out to me!

To use this tool you need to get the Developer Tools (if you don’t have the DVD with Leopard, they are free of charge).
Then, just open the picture you want and play, enjoy, and go wild!
Core Image Fun House allows you to save as Fun House so it comes with an XML file :D
Lots of effects, and as we are used to: EASY TO USE & INTUITIVE

Digital Color Meter

June 14th, 2008

I like!
Digital Color Meter is one of the best utilities of Mac OS X! Well, for me at least is very useful.
With this you can see the colors of everything that is on the screen. You just go around with the cursor and says the color values!
You can see as percentage, value, bla, bla… and you can even select the aperture size of the selection!

I found on spotlight i just tapped “color” and a new world showed up!
