Banners and Positions

May 30th, 2008

Another code post!
About a code I put on this blog, and it was for stuff in the right top corner of the page.
Even if you expand the page the thing there goes with.
However I had a banner on other site, and it wasn’t working… Well, I think it just didn’t work on Firefox, which is a little bit strange! I like Firefox, really, I use Firefox!
But, I just changed the place of the banner because I didn’t realize why it didn’t just work nice!
Well, the corners of the banner (280 x 300) were working, but because I changed for a new one, the button was on the middle…. so no more clicks on there, it wasn’t working!

Ok, but this served to know that I can use “div” for lots of things! I didn’t know that!

iPod

May 29th, 2008

This is the iPod, I have like for 6 years!… I can’t believe it’s so long, time really flies.
Well, I’m thinking what to do with this.
The display is all blew up, the computer (when connected) doesn’t recognize, and so on.
Just starts to be hot, and no letters or whatever on the screen.
I won this on a contest lots of years ago, and when it was in warranty period it stopped working, and a little piece was burned, and because they don’t produce this anymore, they changed for a new one.
I was very happy, till the warranty period finishes and it broken again.
Maybe I will send it for 1 Infinite Loop and ask Steve Jobs a new one…

The Final Judgement

May 28th, 2008

Remember the post I talked about battery life, and what could be better?
Ok, this morning I had a new e-mail from my dear Arnan, and he pasted a link do Apple Support “Calibrating your computer’s battery for best performance“.
And there you can find the answer to your doubts about battery life, and how calibrate your battery, what to do, etc.
Just be aware that you need to chose the tips for your model.
Hope this could help, as helped me because I think I didn’t calibrate my battery properly… mmmmh…
I rated 5 stars to this Apple Support article.

Battery Life!

May 25th, 2008

Well, I always disconnect the cable (of the battery) every time it’s green on!
But today Arnan told me about “and if you don’t disconnect”… well I told him that I read in the Apple site we need to keep battery juicy and alive, and bla bla.
However, to do that you need to disconnect every time is full charged, or like you do on a PC take the battery off while you are at home! (what?! PC…)
So, now I think I’m going take the Arnan’s advice… But still confusing, this battery stuff!

Another thing is the Apple warranty in US and Europe, is it the same time? 2 or 1 year? I always knew it was 1 year, but in Portugal the Apple “wannabe” store (premium reseller) they said “no it’s two! We are in Europe, and and and”. Of course I insist with them because I had an iPod and it was the same, just 1 year warranty…

So many doubts, but the fact is, Arnan works for Apple Premium Reseller and it’s smart… why should I believe in other people?
