Line in…

May 31st, 2008

My great Line in idea, made me laugh alone in my car:
I was happy listen my new songs on the Creative and I started to listen “plui plui” and “vlum”…
You know? It was the sounds of the MacBook other applications: iChat and Mail!!

mmmm…

Creative Zen V Plus

May 31st, 2008

This is my Creative Zen V Plus. I was sniffing what could I do to fix the problem: MacBook doesn’t recognize it! Not even like removable disk! Just charge and if it’s off.

So, I sailed unknown seas! I found lots of things that this little pink thing does such as record the environment, calendar, tasks, contacts, videos, photos, and the most important thing: LINE IN Recording!
Sounds good I know, and I just needed to find the cable to do this. I connected the cable to the MacBook, and opened iTunes, and start the Line in.

It’s very slow, but fun because you can connect the headphones and listen your songs!
The time it takes is the time it takes to listen the music, you can stop when you want, obviously…
Now, I’ve my 3 or 4 songs I wanted in the Creative. However it wasn’t so zen… it stopped in the middle, because it was “saving” battery!!
That was just the only thorn of this perfect pink moment!

iWork - Pages

May 31st, 2008

Yesterday I was doing a newsletter with Pages.
I can say I work literally.
But I learn some new stuff in there, every month when I use that application I feel that I need to do more this, and more that, and without pages it would be impossible I think.
It’s so nice de pdf options we have on a Mac! I remember when people started to use pdf it was for me, a hard thing to extract, hard thing to see how worked! But now, with the Preview options in pdf documents I feel an expert!

At least, I try to improve my skills with that easy applications like Pages is.
This morning I wake up feeling more optimist and with the feeling that I made a good job!

Banners and Positions

May 30th, 2008

Another code post!
About a code I put on this blog, and it was for stuff in the right top corner of the page.
Even if you expand the page the thing there goes with.
However I had a banner on other site, and it wasn’t working… Well, I think it just didn’t work on Firefox, which is a little bit strange! I like Firefox, really, I use Firefox!
But, I just changed the place of the banner because I didn’t realize why it didn’t just work nice!
Well, the corners of the banner (280 x 300) were working, but because I changed for a new one, the button was on the middle…. so no more clicks on there, it wasn’t working!

Ok, but this served to know that I can use “div” for lots of things! I didn’t know that!

Boring Life with a Mac

May 29th, 2008

Looks like a… mmm… paradox? How can a life with a Mac could be boring? NEVER.
However mine it is.
Not because of the Mac, but because of me.
I feel bored because I pass all day in front of it (even if it’s cute and awesome) and I don’t feel it’s productive!
At least if it was my job, or if it was my study thing… but it isn’t!
And every time I think “Oh let me do this…” it’s on internet and I’m sick and tired!
My neck hurts, my hand and my arms hurt… I feel terrible about all day in online.
Today I was doing a PS layout, and just finished it like 5 p.m.
And when I thought it was done, I forgot to center the thing!
Now I will leave for tomorrow.
And I have a newsletter in Pages to do, I know it’s easy, but takes time.
And, and, and…

Leopard 10.5.3

May 29th, 2008

Everybody is talking about this new release.
I can make for you a rapid briefing of whats going on:
Stability!
And (amen to this…) Address Book syncs with Gmail. To try this just read the Google FAQ about “Contact Sync”
It’s a nice step by step to know how to do.
And of course, solved some bugs on other apps like Automator and Time Machine.
Enjoy the new version!

iPod

May 29th, 2008

This is the iPod, I have like for 6 years!… I can’t believe it’s so long, time really flies.
Well, I’m thinking what to do with this.
The display is all blew up, the computer (when connected) doesn’t recognize, and so on.
Just starts to be hot, and no letters or whatever on the screen.
I won this on a contest lots of years ago, and when it was in warranty period it stopped working, and a little piece was burned, and because they don’t produce this anymore, they changed for a new one.
I was very happy, till the warranty period finishes and it broken again.
Maybe I will send it for 1 Infinite Loop and ask Steve Jobs a new one…

The Final Judgement

May 28th, 2008

Remember the post I talked about battery life, and what could be better?
Ok, this morning I had a new e-mail from my dear Arnan, and he pasted a link do Apple Support “Calibrating your computer’s battery for best performance“.
And there you can find the answer to your doubts about battery life, and how calibrate your battery, what to do, etc.
Just be aware that you need to chose the tips for your model.
Hope this could help, as helped me because I think I didn’t calibrate my battery properly… mmmmh…
I rated 5 stars to this Apple Support article.

The one that sings with a… monkey?

May 27th, 2008

Jack Johnson is the name of the artist!
It was on my iTunes, yes it was! I don’t even know why he was there, I didn’t download it.
Looks like it’s a ghost and everybody needs to hear, even without wanting!!

Believing or not in losted souls, I deleted all Jack Johnson from my Mac!
Hell yeah!

Nokia 6085

May 25th, 2008

Looks pretty?
It’s in Royal Pink! And only costed 79.99 euros. Brand new for a princess like me!
I deserve, I know that!
My last one was the earlier version of this one, and I always have Nokia, they just don’t give much problems, as my last one never went to any kind of support! After 3 or 4 years started to need something that I really don’t know. But I’d pay 29 euros just for the upgrading and it wasn’t sure if that fixed the problem!

So I decided to buy another one, and why change? In a team that it’s winning we don’t have to change.
This one is a Nokia 6085 and it’s really nice… and pink!!

I know this photo was a good excuse to show up my little baby MacBook.
